The Cuyahoga Valley Art Center (CVAC) is accepting submissions to their juried Landscapes Exhibition August 28th – September 27th
CVAC is looking to showcase the talents of participating artists depictions of landscapes. The subject matter of the art work must be related to landscapes (literal or abstractly), all mediums are encouraged. CVAC will be accepting submissions on Friday, August 24th from 10:00 – 7:00 PM and Saturday, August 25th from 10:00 – 2:00 PM. Cost is $30 for up to 2 entries for CVAC Members and $35 for up to 2 entries for non-CVAC members.
This open exhibition is juried, with the juror also determining the cash awards for Best of Show, Second-place and Third-place in the amount of $100, $75 & $50 sequentially, as well as up to five honorable mentions. This juried exhibition will highlight works of art spanning across a plethora of differing artistic mediums. “This particular exhibition shall highlight the visual impact of landscapes as depicted by our artistic community.” tells Danielle Dieterich, Director of CVAC. “We are excited to see what our members and the arts community has to share with us.”
This exhibition opens to the public on Tuesday, August 28th. Awards will be distributed as the winners are celebrated during the Landscapes Exhibition Reception on Friday, September 7th from 5:30-7:00 PM. Patrons will have the opportunity to mingle with the artists, enjoy refreshments and hors d’oeuvres and purchase art during this free reception.
