Early Bird Plein Aire Camp

Middle – High School Students

9:30 AM – 12:30 PM

Painting and drawing outdoors & on-site just as the Impressionists did! Students will explore chalk pastel, acrylics, and watercolor along with improving upon sketching and drawing from life in nature! A final exhibition for family and friends at 11:00 AM on the Friday of camp. All materials included in cost of the camp. Dress for a mess! This is a wonderful way to start building your college portfolio! $120

Elementary students include students going into 2nd grade through 5th grade. Middle – High School students are going into 6th – 12th grade. A $25.00 Deposit is due upon sign-up. Class Size is LIMITED.

Instructor Biography

Chelby Benson is a recent addition to our faculty who has brought her passion for working with middle and high school students with some arts experience to the task of developing their skills in a variety of art media.  Chelby is a visual art instructor at Woodridge High School who also heads the school’s Drama Club and is the Director and Set Designer for the Fall Play.  She has been recognized as one of Summit County’s All Star Teaching Team members and was awarded the Summit County Rookie Teacher of the Year in 2014.  Chelby holds a BS in Pre-Kindergarten – 12th grade Art Education from Indiana Wesleyan University.
