In this workshop you will learn how to paint a still life in oil using the direct painting method. We will go over lighting, composition, transferring a drawing, underpainting techniques, color and color theory, and the importance of edge quality.
Working from direct observation is an important tool for learning how to paint. Your eye picks up so much information that is often lost in a photo. This workshop will give you a process that works and is also a great foundation to starting and completing your paintings.
Students will be required to bring their own supplies, supply list provided.
