ACRYLIC MENTORING STUDIO: Friday

FRIDAY 1:00 – 4:00 PM I APR 3 – JUN 5, 2026 I (10 WKS) 

INTERMEDIATE/ADVANCED with Susan Mencini – Sessions are designed for intermediate and advanced acrylic painters. Students work independently and have the opportunity to develop an artistic practice while enjoying the process of already-known techniques with acrylic paint, mediums, and various mixed media choices. Exploring new concepts and acrylic media is welcome. Support and input are given as needed.
Group critiques. Bring and use whatever acrylic painting supplies you already have. M $210 NM $240

Instructor Biography

Susan Mencini is a 1980 graduate of Cooper School of Art in Cleveland and studied at Kent State University. In college, Susan’s major was Printmaking and she has incorporated some of its processes into her paintings. She primarily uses fluid acrylics with a transparent watercolor application. Susan has taught at CVAC since 2004 and also teaches Art at Cornerstone Community School in Tallmadge.  Recent awards: Susan won judges’ awards in both the Member and the Floral exhibitions at CVAC this year and won the Kaleidoscope Award at Summit Art Space in 2016.  One of her images is featured on the post card for this year’s upcoming Kaleidoscope Annual Exhibition.
