We are thrilled to share our gratitude to everyone who joined us for the second annual Curious Creatives event on June 26, 2024, at the Akron Art Museum. It was another incredible day filled with artistic exploration, creativity, and inspiring moments. Your participation made the event a huge success, and we are immensely grateful for your continued support.
This year, we had the pleasure of immersing ourselves in the captivating world of the “Michelangelo Lovelace: Art Saved My Life” exhibit. The vibrant galleries of the Akron Art Museum provided the perfect backdrop for this exclusive event, allowing our esteemed participants to engage with the powerful works of Cleveland artist Michelangelo Lovelace.
We would like to extend a special thank you to Associate Curator Dr. Jeff Katzin for his unique presentation. Dr. Katzin’s insights into the life and artistry of Michelangelo Lovelace were both enlightening and inspiring. His ability to share the inspirations behind Lovelace’s masterpieces and the profound impact of his storytelling scenes on the art world truly enhanced our understanding and appreciation of the exhibit.
We also enjoyed a curated gallery tour led by Dr. Jeff Katzin, where we delved into the thought-provoking narratives woven throughout the exhibition. These tours provided an exceptional opportunity to explore the stories behind Lovelace’s iconic artworks and engage in lively discussions with fellow art enthusiasts.

We want to thank everyone who joined us at our Curious Creative event on June 21st at the Akron Art Museum. It was an incredible afternoon filled with art, inspiration, and excellent company. Your presence made the event truly special, and we are grateful for your support.
We sincerely thank the Akron Art Museum’s education department for their outstanding collaboration and assistance. Their dedication and expertise helped us create custom buttons and draw on a stunning Keith Haring banner, now proudly displayed at CVAC. We couldn’t have achieved such a fantastic result without their support.
A special shout-out goes to Curator Dr. Jeff Katzin, whose captivating presentation about the Keith Haring exhibit left us enlightened and inspired. Dr. Katzin’s wealth of knowledge and engaging storytelling truly enhanced our understanding of how this remarkable exhibition came to fruition. We are immensely grateful for his expertise and passion.
In addition to the enlightening talk, we were treated to a remarkable docent-led tour of the reworked permanent collection. The insights shared by the docent brought a new dimension to the artworks, allowing us to appreciate their beauty and significance even more. Our gratitude goes out to the docent for their informative and engaging tour.
