WATERCOLOR MORNINGS: Tuesday

TUESDAY 11:00 – 1:30 PM I Jan 14 – Feb 18, 2025 I (8 WKS)

ADVANCED-BEGINNER/ADVANCED with Kit Palencar – A structured, project-based, watercolor class designed for beginners through advanced students.  This class meets once weekly on Thursday afternoons.  Each week features a different lesson with an emphasis on a watercolor technique, color use, compositional device, or other approaches to watercolor based on an overall theme related to watercolor use.  Each week there will be an instructor demonstration, a constructive critique of student work, and student work time with instructor guidance, which may vary as time allows. INSTRUCTOR BIOGRAPHY: Kit Palencar

Born in Fairview Park, Ohio in 1992, Palencar was raised with a brush in one hand and a pencil in the other. Backed with painting and drawing fine art degrees with a Master’s from Kent State and a Bachelor’s from The University of Akron, Palencar has exhibited in galleries across Northeast Ohio and has collectors from around the globe. During his undergraduate career at the University of Akron in 2015, Palencar was awarded the top-honor scholarship at the Myers School of Art as well as received an additional private scholarship for his watercolors through the Frederic Whitaker and Eileen Monaghan Whitaker Foundation.
