EXHIBIT: Figurative ExhibitionExplore the expressive world of figures—human, animal, and imagined—by entering CVAC’s Figurative Exhibition, a juried showcase that invites bold creativity and a wide range of artistic interpretations. Artists are encouraged to submit work in any medium, from traditional to sculptural to mixed media, as long as it centers on the theme of Figurative. Whether realistic, abstract, or conceptual, each submission should reflect the artist’s unique vision of form, gesture, and presence.
A distinguished juror will review all submissions, select the artworks featured in the exhibition, and award First Place ($100), Second Place ($75), Third Place ($50), along with up to three Honorable Mentions. Beginning March 10, visitors will also cast their votes for the People’s Choice Award, with the winner announced during the Artist Reception on Friday, April 3, 5:30–7 PM.

Entry Fee:
• $30 for CVAC Members (up to two entries)
• $35 for Non-Members (up to two entries)
This juried exhibition celebrates the expressive power of figurative art and highlights the creativity found across CVAC’s membership and the broader artistic community. “We’re eager to see the incredible work that both our members and local artists will bring to this event,” says Danielle Dieterich, Executive Director of CVAC.
The exhibition opens to the public on Tuesday, March 10, 2026. Join us the the Artist Reception on April 3 for an evening of celebration as we honor award recipients, meet the artists, enjoy refreshments and hors d’oeuvres, and purchase original artworks. This reception is free and open to all.

JUROR:
Frank Oriti was born in 1983 and raised in the suburbs of Cleveland, Ohio. He earned his BFA in Two-Dimensional Studies from Bowling Green State University in 2006 and returned to his hometown. After working in one of Cleveland’s steel mills for a year and a half, he attended Ohio University where he began creating images inspired by his experiences in the blue-collar work force. He graduated from Ohio University with his MFA in Painting in 2011. Oriti has had solo shows in Cleveland, New York, and Los Angeles with work also featured in numerous group shows like the BP Portrait Award in London’s National Portrait Gallery and MOCA Jacksonville’s show “Get Real.” His work continues to be exhibited and acquired by collections, both public and private, all over the world. He currently lives and works in Lakewood, Ohio.
