The Cuyahoga Valley Art Center hosted an inaugural Commissioned Fundraiser, selling raffle tickets in support of CVAC. Modern Woodmen Fraternal Order sponsored the fundraiser with a 50/50 matching grant of up to $2,500. Collide: Cuyahoga Falls and corresponding board member Kamila Fisher were the Artistic Sponsors, supporting $500 towards the commissioned artist.
The raffle prizes were: A bird carving of a Cardinal by world class carver Tom Baldwin (valued at $1,500), a commissioned art piece by a participating artist (valued at $500), and three $50 gift certificates valid for a class or workshop at CVAC. The 5 winners were selected and contacted on September 18th.
The Cuyahoga Valley Art Center has been supporting the visual arts in Cuyahoga Falls since 1934. This 2020 fundraiser helped to support CVAC and their local arts community during these uncertain times. This event stood in place of their annual Vibrant Pallet Celebration.
