The Impressionists forged a new way of painting and looking at the natural world. They challenged historical conventions that stood for centuries and created a new vision based on direct observation, bold brush strokes, high-keyed color, and a keen awareness of the science of perception. The art of Manet, Monet, Degas, and Renoir are featured.

Since retirement I have been exhibiting my artwork and presenting Art History lectures on a variety of subjects for the Center for Lifelong Learning for Lorain County Community College, Colorado Free University, and Central Ohio Technical College near Columbus (program now discontinued since pandemic). I work as a supervisor for the Art Education Department at Kent State University. I have also been presenting Art History lectures for retirement homes, public libraries, and art organizations across the state of Ohio. I also offer my lectures in virtual form. I do private tours at area art museums such as the Cleveland Museum of Art and The Toledo Museum of Art. I also do seminars for art organizations such as the Ohio Art Education Association. Art is my passion. I would like to make it my audiences and students passion too.
