45th Annual Whiskey Painters of America Exhibition & Art SaleThe Cuyahoga Valley Art Center proudly presents the 45th Annual Whiskey Painters of America Exhibition & Art Sale, on display from September 15 – October 22, 2026. This prestigious exhibition features the largest collection of Whiskey Paintings for sale in one location anywhere in the world.
A Whiskey Painting is a watercolor miniature—no larger than 4″ x 5″—created using alcoholic spirits instead of water. The Whiskey Painters of America (WPA), founded in 1962 at Akron’s historic Tangier Night Club, remains one of the most unique and exclusive miniature painting societies in existence. Membership is invitation-only, requiring sponsorship from an existing WPA member.
Visitors are encouraged to take part in the People’s Choice Award, voting for the painting that resonates with them most. The winning artwork will be announced during the Artist Reception on Friday, October 9, from 5:30–7 PM.
The Artist Reception is free and open to all. Guests will enjoy an evening featuring live whiskey painting demonstrations, a selection of hors d’oeuvres, and refreshing beverages. Final People’s Choice ballots will be collected, and the winner will be announced at 6:30 PM, adding excitement to this celebratory event.

For this 44th annual exhibition, members of the Whiskey Painters of America have generously donated a selection of Whiskey Paintings to be raffled off in support of CVAC’s Vibrant Palette Scholarship Fund. This fund ensures that no student—2nd grade through adult—is turned away from the opportunity to take an art class due to financial need.
Raffle Tickets:
• 1 ticket for $10
• 3 tickets for $20
• 10 tickets for $50
Tickets may be purchased at CVAC or by phone at (330) 928-8092 from September 15 through October 21, 2026. Winners will be contacted on October 22, 2026.
