Cuyahoga Valley Art Center presents its Figurative Exhibition, from March 5 – April 18, 2024. The exhibition, offering free admission to the public, welcomes visitors during gallery hours on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday from 10 to 3 PM, Wednesday from 1 to 6 PM, and Saturday from 10 to 2 PM. The Figurative Exhibition features a diverse range of artworks, including recent paintings, sculptures, ceramics, and works on paper, all centered around the theme of ‘Figurative’. Visitors can explore depictions of humans, animals, and fictional figures, portrayed both realistically and conceptually.
This juried exhibition adds an exciting competitive element, with the juror selecting accepted submissions. Additionally, during the exhibition, visitors can participate in the People’s Choice Award, and the winner will be announced at the Artist Reception. “We are excited to display what the members of our artist community have to share with us,” states Danielle Dieterich, Executive Director of CVAC.
Join us for the Figurative Exhibition’s Artist Reception on Friday, March 29th, from 5:30 PM to 7 PM. This celebratory event offers patrons the unique opportunity to mingle with the artists, enjoy refreshments and hors d’oeuvres, and even purchase art. Admission to the reception is free, making it an accessible and enjoyable experience for all art enthusiasts.

This is then contrasted by the simple dark mass of hair on the rest of the head and shoulders. All is balanced by the black accent of her bust, surrounded by the blue fabric of her shirt, where we then rest.”– Juror Tricia Kaman |
