LANDSCAPES EXHIBITION
EXHIBITION & ART SALE
The Cuyahoga Valley Art Center (CVAC) invited all area artists to participate in their Landscapes Exhibition, to be on display in CVAC’s gallery from September 4th – October 5th. This juried exhibition highlights 58 works of art spanning across a plethora of differing artistic mediums. “This particular exhibition highlights the visual impact of landscapes as depicted by our artistic community.” tells Danielle Dieterich, Director of CVAC. “We are excited by what our members and the arts community has shared with us.”
Professional Artists and Cuyahoga Falls natives, Carolyn Lewis & Tom Baldwin will be jurying CVAC’s Landscapes Exhibition. The art of Carolyn Lewis is inspired by nature, wildlife, and people. Her commissioned portraits of individuals and animals, and her powerful landscapes, are steadily gaining acclaim in national art circles. Lewis is a member of the Group Ten Gallery in Kent as well as the Oil Painters of America, Ohio Plein Air Society, Akron Society of Artists and the Portrait Society of America. She received an Honorable Mention for her work from The Artist’s Magazine National Landscape Competition where she was ranked in the top 6 out of over 9000 entries. Lewis has served as juror in the past to a plethora of highly acclaimed exhibitions throughout the US, and is excited to be a part of CVAC’s Landscapes Exhibition.
