Anne Lackney has been an art educator for over 10 years, teaching almost every grade level in Akron Public Schools. She has taught numerous art workshops for children and teenagers, including work with Project Rise servicing I housed children. She holds a BA in Visual Communications from Kent State University and a Masters in Visual Arts Education (pK-12) from the University of Akron. Lackney is a jack of all trades in art media, loosely specializing in illustration, ceramics and fiber arts. If there’s an art or craft she hasn’t tried, Lackney is convinced that she can teach herself how by jumping right into creating. She is passionate about continuing to learn and improve her own practice in order to pass the learning along to her students.
