Jamie Stewart-Coley has been a passionate and dedicated art educator for over 30 years. Her teaching career began in the vibrant art scene of the Chicago area before she relocated to Cuyahoga Falls in 2004. Here, she took on the ambitious task of developing and implementing a comprehensive visual arts program for grades Pre-K through 8th at St. Joseph Parish School, nurturing young minds and fostering a love for creativity.

Stewart-Coley holds both a BFA and a degree in Commercial Design from the University of Dayton, a testament to her diverse and robust educational background. Her artistic expertise spans a wide range of forms, including ceramics, photography, weaving, printing, drawing, and painting. In addition to her technical skills, she possesses a vast knowledge of art history and a deep appreciation for expressive creation through reflection, literature, and music.

In the fall of 2022, the Cuyahoga Valley Art Center welcomed Stewart-Coley to its esteemed faculty, recognizing her exceptional talent and dedication to the arts. She eagerly looks forward to working with the community’s youth, inspiring and guiding the next generation of artists with her wealth of experience and passion for artistic expression. Jamie Stewart-Coley’s career is a shining example of her commitment to art education and her enduring impact on her students and the broader artistic community.
