Exploring Mixed Media Techniques

TUESDAYS 3:30 – 6:00 PM I JAN 13-MAR 3, 2026 I (8 WKS)

BEGINNER/ADVANCED w/ Mo Mosyjowski – This 8-week class series introduces students to a variety of media and artistic processes, with a new technique or method offered each week. Lessons will incorporate discussions on color theory and design principles, providing a strong foundation for experimentation and growth. Students may follow the structured weekly projects or pursue their own independent work. Each class will conclude with a group critique, encouraging thoughtful discussion and feedback. The purpose of this class is to expand your artistic capabilities, explore new techniques, and develop finished pieces. M $122 NM $142

INSTRUCTOR BIOGRAPHY

Mary “Mo” Mosyjowski does not like to limit a piece to one medium, but will bravely try any means possible to make the composition work.  She has experience in watercolor, acrylic, collage, oil, batik, Gelli Plate Printing and more.  She has taught private students and workshops since 2006 on altered books, Pysanka (Ukrainian egg decoration) using a batik method of wax and dye and also done presentations on Gelli Plate Printing. Mo teaches the Discovery of Art class and Paint Parties at CVAC. Her abstract works have won many art show awards and she won the People’s Choice Award at the Summit ArtSpace Kaleidoscope Show for her altered book of self-portraits.
