BEGINNER with Amanda Bacon – Have you always wanted to try making pottery on the wheel? Here is an opportunity to have that experience with instruction. Basic techniques for centering the clay and throwing cylinders and cups will be demonstrated and practiced in this 5-week clay class. Emphasis will be placed on making and completing beginning projects, with firing and glazing included. Instruction will be personal in this small class!  Clay must be purchased at CVAC on or before the first class, $10 for 12 lbs/$20 for 25 lbs. Students should bring a towel and an apron. M $92 NM $102

*Because this class is a carefully scheduled, short, skill-based, intensive learning course, please consider taking it another time if you will not be available for all 5 classes.

*Students will make up to 5 completed wheel-thrown pottery projects as per instruction. This class is strictly for beginning-level students, not intermediate to advanced-level students. Students must complete and work on projects during the designated class time as there is no out-of-class time available.
