CALL FOR ENTRIES: Student & Faculty Exhibition

CVAC is delighted to extend an invitation to those who took a class or workshop in 2024 to showcase their work within its annual Student & Faculty Exhibition. This exhibition, a cornerstone of our exhibition schedule, offers a unique opportunity for students to share their work within the supportive CVAC community.

The exhibition will run from October 29 through December 6, 2024, and we warmly invite students to submit their artwork for display. Submissions are $10 each with a maximum of one entry, and will be accepted on the following dates:

Friday, October 25, from 10 to 3 PM
Saturday, October 26, from 10 to 2 PM

*Early submissions can be accepted, please contact our front desk, 330-928-8092 to coordinate the drop-off

This non-juried exhibition celebrates the diversity and talent of CVAC’s student body, showcasing artwork alongside that of its esteemed faculty. It offers a glimpse into the significant work being created here at CVAC, providing a platform for students to share their creativity and passion with the wider community.

CVAC is excited to share that this year’s exhibition will include a People’s Choice selection process, offering two participants the chance to receive a $50 cash prize, generously supported by The Vijay Rastogi Memorial Fund. Additionally, CVAC is introducing the Artistic Evolution Awards*, a fresh initiative designed to honor the growth and advancement of its students annually. Chosen by our esteemed faculty members, this award celebrates students who have shown remarkable progress and evolution in their artistic journey, reflecting the core values of dedication, exploration, and growth that define CVAC’s artistic community.

We warmly invite you and your loved ones to attend the exhibit’s Artist’s Reception on December 6, from 5:30 to 7 PM. It will be a delightful opportunity for all students, whether exhibiting or not, to come together and celebrate the culmination of the year’s artistic endeavors. Let’s gather to commemorate your achievements and the lively artistic community thriving here at CVAC. Award announcements will commence at 6:30 PM, and participants are welcome to take their artwork home after the reception.

THE VIJAY RASTOGI MEMORIAL FUND:
The Cuyahoga Valley Art Center (CVAC) is honored to pay tribute to the extraordinary life and contributions of Vijay Rastogi, a beloved former Board member whose passion for the arts and unwavering support for our mission left an indelible mark on our community.

Vijay Rastogi, a gifted watercolor artist and dedicated advocate for the arts, brought his artistic vision and enthusiasm to the CVAC Board of Directors for many years. His belief in the transformative power of art education inspired those around him and guided the direction of our center.
