Linda Hutchinson has been an instructor in drawing, watercolor, and oil painting at the Cuyahoga Valley Art Center for fifteen years. Hutchinson holds a B.A. in French from Miami University of Ohio. Notably, Hutchinson has been awarded the Ohio Watercolor Society Gold Medal in 2001 as well as designed the First Night Akron button in 2008. Among having a feature spread in the The Art of Watercolour Magazine, Hutchinson’s piece, “Hydrangea Blooms” won the 2017 reader’s contest.
Hutchinson’s affiliations include Hudson Fine Art and Framing, the Ohio Arts Council, and the Sharon Weiss Gallery in Columbus, Ohio. They hold a signature membership with the Akron Society of Artists, the Ohio Watercolor Society, and the American Watercolor Society, with an associate membership in the Oil Painters of America.
