Linda Hutchinson has been a cherished instructor in drawing, watercolor, and oil painting at the Cuyahoga Valley Art Center for over two decades. Her artistic journey is as vibrant and dynamic as the works she creates. Hutchinson earned her B.A. in French from Miami University of Ohio, a testament to her diverse academic pursuits and creative sensibilities.

Hutchinson’s talent has been recognized with numerous accolades, most notably the prestigious Ohio Watercolor Society Gold Medal in 2001. In 2008, she showcased her design prowess by creating the First Night Akron button. Her work has also graced the pages of The Art of Watercolour magazine, where her piece “Hydrangea Blooms” won the 2017 reader’s contest, further solidifying her reputation in the art world.

Her professional affiliations are as impressive as her artistic achievements. Hutchinson is connected with Hudson Fine Art and Framing, the Ohio Arts Council, and the Sharon Weiss Gallery in Columbus, Ohio. She holds signature memberships with the Akron Society of Artists, the Ohio Watercolor Society, and the American Watercolor Society. Additionally, she maintains an associate membership with the Oil Painters of America.
