Mark Giangaspero studied and taught visual arts under the late Jack Richards until Mr. Richards’ passing in 2014. Mark has taught drawing and painting classes (in a variety of media) at CVAC over the past six years. He has shown his work in such prestigious galleries as the McDonough Museum (Youngstown State University), Viewpoints at the Cincinnati Art Club, the National Arts Club in New York and the Butler Institute of American Art in Youngstown where his pieces, Mr. Richardson and Portrait of Chris, are held in the Institute’s permanent collection.

Mark Giangaspero studied at the School of Creative Design, and undertook private study with Robert Brachman, William Beckman and Leroy Flint. His work has been seen in group exhibitions in New York, Cleveland and Ohio.
This self-portrait is part of an ongoing series to which the artist adds two to four works each year.
