BEGINNER/INTERMEDIATE with Kit Palencar – Discover the luminous possibilities of acrylic painting through the indirect method, also known as the Flemish or Old Masters technique. This workshop explores the process of building a painting in thoughtful layers using time-honored techniques such as glazing and scumbling. By layering transparent and translucent acrylics over a solid foundation, artists can achieve stunning depth, dimension, and radiance in their work.
Join Kit Palencar as you develop your composition through sketching, still-life research, and deliberate paint layering—all while maintaining creative freedom within a carefully composed framework. Whether you’re seeking to refine your technical skills or breathe new life into your painting process, Layering & Light offers an inspiring journey from foundation to finish.
